John took Maybelline by hand and led her out of the bathroom so Paul could use it. Paul thanked them, and slammed the door. Maybelline looked at John with a sad face, knowing that he was not kidding anymore and that he was sad because of Brooke. They must've had to sleep in seperate beds too. John looked back at her with the same expression. He then led her back to the couch and sat there with her while turning on the television.

"John... I'll certainly be yours." She had no idea what she was saying. When she heard herself say it, her eyes widened for a moment. John stood back up and grinned at her, taking her in his arms. She hugged him back very willingly. 'What am I doing?' she asked herself, still smiling endlessly. Her eyes were shut to hold back the tears, but she could hear clapping. It was her friends, and although they wanted her too, they were being good sports and applauding them. They knew it was a big moment for her.

Brooke and Paul seemed to be in a tiff, and John looked really sad. Bad things were happening to people who were supposed to be really happy. 'Who else could do this to them but me?' Maybelline thought. She sighed. She was sitting in a spot she didn't normally sit in, because she didn't want to be around John who she ALWAYS sat with. George was staring at her with a look that said 'I'm sorry' and she gave him a reassuring glance. He smiled a little, which had been hard for him lately.

Ringo could see the look on Maybelline's face was not only completely embarrassed, but also somewhat angry. He waited for her to arrive at his side before he asked her what happened. He feared he may have to maim John.

"He kissed me..." she said after swallowing shallowly. George grimaced. He looked in John direction as he snuck back to the limo, passing them quietly. Ringo frowned and looked at him too. Her first kiss, Ringo thought, was wasted just now. I don't know why, after John told her he didn't want to be with her, he would just off and kiss her like that! Maybelline looked up at John with a worried look. He looked down at her. After only days of knowing the lass, John knew he loved her. So... What was holding him back now? He couldn't seem to figure it out. He looked frustrated, the forehead lines appearing, when finally he found something to say. He knew that Maybelline wouldn't like it though.
